These are some original skins, in PCX format, not stuffed in a UTX package.  If you can make good use of them and make some good custom skins of them, then email them to me and I will put together a custom skin UTX package (not the SSDXSkins1.UTX, but SSDXSkins2.utx).

If you make custom skin packs of your own, then package them as SSDXSkins_"your name".  Ie. SteveJones.utx

An assortment of 'web' available downloads.  It has weapons and custom items made by others in the Deus Ex community.  Though mostly weapons, if you can get the .U file open, you can see what they did.

In order to familiarize yourself with the Deus Ex Editor, I highly recommend Steve Tack's Compiled HTML Help File and UNREAL Editor Help files.  Even I am learning something using them so if a nOOb like me can figure out how to do the animated and masked textures, then the rest of you should become experts in no time if you are not already.
  • Both help files have links to additional tools that are on the web.

This file is the meat and gristle of custom designing. 
  • Two word documents on 3DsMax to Deus Ex and Getting Models into Deus Ex will help you with modeling.
  • Unr2De is for converting Unreal models to DeusEx.
  • UTXv22, the UTX viewer is useful insofar as viewing what is in a UTX package.  I recommend looking over the UTX packages above using this viewer.  Do not use it to create packages.
  • dxTextEditor allows us to make custom text for use in Deus Ex.  Great for DATACUBES
  • uccmake is the utility for compiling packages.  See Tack's help file for details.
  • Polygon Cruncher does as the name implies; it reduces the poly level in a model.  I never used it and have no idea what the ramifications of using it are.
  • The MeshTool is used to extract Deus Ex meshes.  Tinker with it if you want.  Steve Tack designed it, so use the help file to contact him for help.

THIS IS THE BIGGIE, importance-wise.
  • UC MOD LOADER: Lets us use Agent 2-4601 as the player instead of JC.  Sure they use the same mesh, but have different augmentation preferences and texturing effects.  Ultimately, the loader will get everything together for play.
